Swedish Massage
Massage is a language without words....
What is Swedish massage?
Swedish massage is our therapeutic treatment designed to be on the relaxing and soothing side. It's a very popular massage technique, often involving long strokes and the focus is on unwinding and de-stressing body and mind.
The pressure is lighter with the focus on bringing about relaxation rather than working deeply into muscles. Pressure is light to medium.
How can Swedish massage help me?
If you're feeling stressed, in need of some me time or want something relaxing to help you switch off then Swedish massage could be for you.
If you want something soothing, that is gentler on the body and that you feel comforted and de-stressed after then this is the perfect treatment.
Types of conditions used for?
Swedish massage is beneficial for more mind based conditions. It's a relaxing treatment so is focused on relaxing the mind, helping to de-stress a person, bringing about a feeling of calmness and restoration.
It benefits the muscles but in a lighter more soothing and easing way and on a more superficial level. Swedish massage is aimed more at relaxation rather than getting rid of muscular tension.
Is this treatment right for me?
Swedish massage is a lighter treatment, if you are looking for something that works into the muscles and breaks down the tension then deep tissue would be the treatment for you.
Swedish massage focuses on de-stressing and relaxing the muscles as well as the mind. It involves using a more gentle pressure, yet we aim to also ease up some of the superficial muscle tension.
It's ideal if you are feeling stressed, want to relax and switch off and if you want to get rid of emotional tension.
It does provide some relief for back and body pain too and helps to slightly increase some extra range of motion. It helps to boost circulation. It gives a boost to the muscles and the mind, helping you to switch off and detach.
